Klamath Basin Chapter,
Native Plant Society of Oregon

About Us

The Klamath Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon is currently recruiting new members in an effort to revitalize the organization.

Members of the local chapter are also members of the state organization, the Native Plant Society of Oregon.

The NPSO was founded in 1961. Since then it has grown to nearly 1000 members through a network of local chapters. The mission is to enjoy, conserve and study Oregon's native flora

The Klamath Basin Chapter sponsors field trips and work parties, involving our members in conservation of Oregon's diverse plant heritage.

What benefits can membership offer you? KBCNPSO meetings with interesting speakers, programs, and workshops; field trips to see unusual land forms and uncommon plants; learn identification and propagation; meeting people with the same appreciation for our local plants.

KBCNPSO membership also includes the Bulletin, the monthly newsletter from the Native Plant Society of Oregon, which provides statewide news of meetings, field trips, and special events. Plus, a subscription to the NPSO's yearly journal, Kalmiopsis
