Native Plant Garden Tour - led by Todd Kepple

Native Plant Garden Tour celebrating the opening of Native Plant Week, sponsored by the Klamath County Museum & the Klamath Basin Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon is open to everyone. 

Supplies: Bring sun screen and/or a hat. You may also want to bring water.

Meeting Place: 1451 Main Street on the corner of Spring Street in downtown Klamath Falls 

What to Expect: A tour of the native plant garden at the Klamath County Museum will highlight locally indigenous plants that can be used in landscaping. More than 150 Klamath natives are growing Klamath County Museumat the museum.

A 10 oclock tour will cover trees, shrubs, grasses and lichens.

At 11 o
clock, the tour will cover native annuals and perennials.

Interesting plants at the museum include wooly mule
s ears, sticky purple geranium, coiled locoweed and rock penstemon.
 

Physical Requirements: Easy walking on sidewalks. Dress for the weather.
